Manhattanville College Partnership

Manhattanville College Partnership

Partnership

Alexander Hamilton is the first Westchester County High School to become a Professional Development School (PDS). Alexander Hamilton and Manhattanville College have developed a strong partnership that will benefit all involved. The PDS initiative incorporates the Pre K-12 educational experience with colleges to prepare teacher candidates, provide faculty professional development, improve instructional practices, and enhance student learning. This clinical practice will produce a group of teacher candidates who will be ready to face the challenges presented in educating today's youth. As PDS partners, we share responsibilities for professional development and blend their expertise and resources to meet shared goals in a real-world setting.
